Questions and answers
What happens if a rent cheque bounces?
Mark it bounced: the rent instalment is open again, the tenant’s balance updates, and you can record a replacement cheque.
Do cheques count as cash before they clear?
No. They sit in a cheques-in-hand account until deposited and cleared, so your cash position stays real.
Can I keep a photo of each cheque?
Yes. Attach a photo when you record it; it stays with the cheque.
