Terms of service
These terms govern your use of sijilna.com and of the Sijilna online accounting service at app.sijilna.com, including its tenant and owner portals (the “Service”). The Service is provided by Pandora Design L.L.C, trading as Pandoratech, Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (“we”, “us”). By signing up for or using the Service you accept these terms on behalf of your business.
1. The Service
Sijilna is subscription accounting software for businesses, provided under the plans on our pricing page. A new business gets a free 14-day trial. The public demo is shared by visitors, reset every night and provided as is, for evaluation only.
2. Your account and users
- The person who signs up becomes the owner of the business in Sijilna and is responsible for the users they add and the roles they give them.
- Keep sign-in details confidential. Actions taken under your users are your responsibility. We recommend two-step sign-in for every user.
- Tenant and owner portal users see only what you share with them; you are responsible for inviting the right people.
3. Your data
Your business data belongs to you. For personal data in it (for example your customers, suppliers, employees, tenants and property owners) you are the controller and we process it on your behalf, only to provide the Service, as described in our privacy policy. You can export reports and lists at any time.
4. Accounting, tax and legal responsibility
- Sijilna is software. It is not an accountant, tax agent, auditor, lawyer or e-invoicing Accredited Service Provider (ASP).
- You are responsible for the accuracy of what you record and for your tax invoices, VAT returns, payroll, WPS salary files, e-invoices and other filings. VAT treatments, pension rates, payroll settings, lease clauses and other defaults are starting points: confirm them with your own advisers.
- Lease and document templates are provided for convenience and are not legal advice.
5. Services you connect
You may connect third-party services: your own e-mail server, your own WhatsApp number, your e-invoicing ASP and, when available, your own payment provider account. Their own terms and fees apply, and you are responsible for using them lawfully, including asking for consent before messaging your contacts. We are not responsible for services we do not provide.
6. Acceptable use
Use the Service lawfully. Do not attempt to disrupt, probe, overload or resell it, or to access data that is not yours.
7. Prices and billing
Subscriptions are charged monthly or yearly in advance in AED, plus 5% UAE VAT. Yearly prices are those on the pricing page; yearly plans are not refundable except as required by UAE law. You can cancel at any time; the Service stays active until the end of the paid period. We may change prices with 30 days’ notice. If an invoice stays unpaid after a reminder, we may restrict the business to read-only access until it is paid.
8. Availability and backups
We aim for high availability and keep a standby copy of your data and nightly encrypted backups, but no online service is uninterrupted. We announce planned maintenance in advance where possible.
9. Ending the Service
After cancellation or the end of a trial you may export your data for 90 days; afterwards we may delete the business. UAE law may require you to keep accounting and tax records for several years, so export what you need before then.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We will tell owners of active businesses about material changes before they take effect.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes fall to the courts of Abu Dhabi.
